There's another new name this morning. A new hashtag, another reason to protest, another place for a memorial. Deray and the movement all over this.

Man fatally shot by police in Jennings

JENNINGS - A Jennings man was shot and killed by police Friday night in what authorities describe as a response to a stand-off with a suspect armed with a knife.

The dead man was identified as Thaddeus McCarroll, 23.

Saw this ...so frustrating that the same groups behind these movements to demilitarize cops..BLAH blah blah are the same ones who shut down US Mental Institutions as reform. LIke WTF did they think would happen when they got rid men in white coats with Thorazine shots in their pockets & the only ones left were blue coats with guns at their hips?

If you're not familiar the Senate hearings and all that of late 50's thru Kennedy signing a bill in 1963 onto ACLU shutting down Willowbrook kids hospital has some fascinating parallels to stuff happening today.

This shows how dead [pun intended] the Ferguson news has become. Wish I had a $1 for every mention/pic I saw of this tree on Twitter yesterday. Oh, and the "conspiracy" of it not being the correct tree. :Gslap

The tree was dedicated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association on Saturday, but was found vandalized on Sunday morning.

The memorial is along a walking trail in January-Wabash Park in Ferguson.

While police said they are investigating the vandalism, they do not yet have any suspects.

:28 JustWow,

:Gslap It is kinda hysterical.

Haven't been on T much today. But the "suspects" I have seen so far are a Ferguson PO, a member of the Lost Voices, or any White person. :98

The Tree is almost as big as The Dress story.
(which I never understood b/c I never read about it, don't want to, don't care) :)
