Justice Department reports on Ferguson could cost more than $1 million

WASHINGTON • The Department of Justice expects to spend more than $1 million to produce two reports related to law enforcement in Ferguson and St. Louis County.

Copies of contracts with the Department of Justice reveal estimates that it will cost about $780,000 for the Police Foundation to produce a report on “collaborative reform” for the St. Louis County Police Department. The project was launched in the aftermath of last summer’s shooting death of Michael Brown by Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson.

In addition, an “after-action” report on how police responded to demonstrations, looting and violence in the 17 days after the shooting will cost federal taxpayers $225,000, according to an estimate submitted by the author, Florida-based Institute for Intergovernmental Research Inc.

Both reports could be released to the public as early as next month.

The Justice Department’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services contracted with both organizations. The Post-Dispatch obtained copies of those contracts through the Freedom of Information Act.

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – Another sign of Ferguson’s renewal happened Saturday, when Sam’s Meat Market reopened for business today. The store was looted 3 times during the unrest that followed the shooting of Michael Brown in August 2014. But thanks residents, community leaders and grants from resources like the Believers Temple Word Fellowship and gofundme, Sam’s Market has kept its promise to stay in Ferguson and serve its residents.

According to the NEW DEFINITION... snitching is ONLY when you are caught doing a crime, you don't reveal your fellow thugs!!

Give me a break.

Even by that limited (false) redefinition... it is STILL perpetuating crime and enabling criminals to thrive and escape "Justice" and.....
