The question has been asked three times in two weeks. "Are you the guy from the picture of Ferguson?" the tourists ask Crawford, 26, at Sweetie Pie's in The Grove, where he recently landed a job as a server.

He became a face of the movement in Ferguson when he was captured by a Post-Dispatch photographer throwing a tear gas container back toward police, three days after the police shooting of Michael Brown.

Crawford, who spent time in late 2014 with Canadian filmmakers as the subject of a documentary on young voters, hopes to take classes to become an emergency medical technician.

Almost a year after Ferguson, Crawford reflects on anger and violence that has plagued St. Louis. He repeats a simple sentence.

"We gotta do better. We gotta do better."

He wants his picture on his body, he said.

"I want it big...on my back."

"And underneath I want it to say in big letters...I AM LEGEND."

After the shooting, several area residents went to Yeatman Market to check on the owner, who did not want to be identified. He told News 4 his surveillance video shows a white car pulling up and shooting at the victims. Several bullets hit the market, which has been in the neighborhood for 33 years. Some neighbors reminisced about the good times they've had at the market.

The One-Year Anniversary jamboree of Mike Brown's demise is underway somewhere in Ferguson.
