Penalty (Michalak)
France 25-6 England

Posted at 64 mins

La Marseillaise rings out at the Stade de France and it sounds for all the world like it's party time already in Paris. England won't be going, it's early to bed for them after a truly awful performance. If things weren't tough enough for England's forwards, on comes 25 stone prop Atonio. For England, it's time for Danny Cipriani to stake a late claim for a World Cup spot. Although, not much of one. France penalty, and they're going for the posts...

(England)......it's early to bed for them after a truly awful performance.

:lol

I missed the USA game, completely.
Made note to watch the next two!

The United States, who are drawn along with South Africa, Scotland, Samoa and Japan in Pool B in the Rugby World Cup, have two more warm-up matches, taking on Premiership side Harlequins in Philadelphia on August 30 before facing Australia at Chicago's Soldier Field on September 5.

General list of links to livestreams for tonight's game...

http://www.realstreamunited.com/rugby-l ... video.html

I am still very much of the mind that that WC Pool play will go to obvious, predictable plan (barring an upset), with exception of Pool A where one of 3 top teams MUST be eliminated ahead of quarter finals. Nobody can know for sure which of those 3 teams will be eliminated.

England, Australia and Wales are pitted against each other. Prelim games featuring those teams offer some clues as to current form

Tonight Wales V Ireland.

Ireland beat Wales a couple of weeks ago... WALES need to put on a good show tonight (and win)

For US peeps......
KICK OFF is 9:30 AM (EST) Saturday, 29th August 2015

Leigh Halfpenny just cicked a penalty for Wales

Wales 3 - 0 Ireland

Interesting factoid......

The man with the (literally) golden boots... why Leigh Halfpenny will be wearing the most expensive footwear on show this weekend
By Heledd Pritchard
28 August 2015, Updated 14:25, 28 August 2015

Image
The precious 9ct gold for the boots hails from the Clogau St David’s Mine within the hills of Snowdonia

Leigh Halfpenny has often been referred to as “the man with the golden boot” but Welsh Rugby Union’s heroic fullback has taken that title to a whole new level after unveiling his new 9ct Welsh Gold footwear.

On Saturday Gorseinon’s finest export will be sporting his new special-edition Under Armour ClutchFit boots which contain 9ct rare Welsh gold studs for Wales’ World Cup warm-up match against Ireland in Dublin.

The precious metal for the boots hail from the Clogau St David’s Mine within the hills of Snowdonia.

Halpenny said: “I’m hoping that the gold boots will bring me and the Welsh team a lot of luck over the coming months.

“I’ve got all the best kit, now it’s up to me to go and do the business out on the field.”

Created by Under Armour, the design of the boots was inspired by the recently launched red and gold Welsh Rugby kit and feature “Oxblood” red and gold colourings from the upper to the sole of the shoe.

The standard ClutchFit boots retail at £130 but Under Armour are unable to provide a value for the gold edition Halfpenny will wear.

Leigh might be the first rugby player to wear actual gold on his feet but he’s not the first to sport flashy footwear.

In 2005 Gavin Henson caused a stir when he wore gold-coloured boots at the Six Nations.

Halfpenny meanwhile, who is third on the list of all time Welsh top point scorers will be hoping to make more of an impact for his goalkicking than the colour of his daps at next month’s Rugby World Cup.

Full Time - Wales WIN!!!

Wales 16 - 10 Ireland

Deserved win... Wales nearly blew it in last 2 minutes. :doh

Irish try in last few seconds would have been a travesty,... ball held up, not grounded,

Canada v Georgia, Esher
19:30 local, 18:30 GMT

On Wednesday 2nd September Canada and Georgia will play a warm-up game before they both compete in the England 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Georgia find themselves in Pool C alongside New Zealand, Argentina, Tonga and Namibia. Having played in the 2003, 2007 and 2011 World Cups, Georgia will be looking to improve on their two tournament wins (one against Namibia in 2007 and one against Romania in 2011). Often known as "The Lelos", Georgia are known for their power at the scrum and will turn to their talismanic flanker Mamuke Gorgodze of Toulon for inspiration.

Canada meanwhile have competed at every World Cup since it was first staged in 1987. The Club has a relatively strong Canadian link, with former brother Jamie and Phil Mackenzie having played in the black and amber as well as for the Maple Leafs, whilst our current CEO and Director of Rugby Mike Schmid used to play his trade in the back row for Canada. The best the North American side has ever achieved was a quarter final 29-13 loss to the All Blacks in 1991, which they will be hoping to improve upon with France, Ireland, Italy and Romania all alongside them in Pool D this year.

Both sides will grace the main pitch at Molesey Road for this midweek fixture, with a 7.30pm Kick Off. Georgia are currently placed 13th in the world, five spots above Canada, so this will be a tight contest between two sides known for their rugby pedigree so close to the World Cup.

I HOPE I can find a good live stream for tonight's game... ahead of kick-off to catch crowd singing pre-game and then anthems.

Millenium Stadium (Cardiff) is where it is at its best!!

Never been there for a game.. but know the area WELL from my vacation... GREAT pubs nearby sell GREAT real ale. (and "Brains" Brewery where they make the stuff not far away)

Welsh Rugby Crowd singing National Anthem... beats the Allblack Haka even for emotional impact.

Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau - Land of My Fathers

Welsh National Anthem just before Wales beat England 30 - 3.Saturday 16th march 2013
