Did you see all the cracks in it when they showed a close-up? Looks like a road map. Didn't water enough.

Pitches LOOK cracked on TV... but not always as bad as they look... surface cracks well away from area where ball lands are not an issue. Having said that.. this pitch looks bad to me... but India not losing wickets... so it must be OK for batting.
