Kohli didn't want to leave the field for some reason.

I dunno. The announcers were praising the decision to start the spinners.

(I'm still giggling at your "Vijay(jay)" and sign. LOL)

;)

Commentators... Schmomentators... most of them are ..INDIANS! I did Hear Michael Clarke praise it... but I cant imagine HIM doing something so daft when he was captain.

Commentators are NOT war time Consiglieres :cool

LUNCH (don't eat the curries)

Australia 260
India 70/3 (25.0 ov)

India trail by 190 runs with 7 wickets remaining in the 1st innings

Aust also faced one over, and 2 can be allowed for innings break. Still Aust are SLOW.. 2 short, and they had spin at one end... poor show :cool

Indians dropping like flies :)

Serves them right for jacking up the wicket to suit spinners.

This is exciting (for me). Is four wickets in 8 balls rare for Test match? I can see it happening in T20 & ODI.

I love it for all the players, but especially for Smith. When he caught the ball, he celebrates like a kid.

LOL, at talking about a conclusion on Day 4. Little early to predict, right? India's 2d innings could be "out of the park."

Rapid wickets falling is not the norm..... certainly not 1st innings and pitch not worn.

It points to this pitch being CRAP.. as far as suitability for test cricket. There should be an inquiry.. heads should roll.

Thanks, you'd like to see the heads roll, eh. :)

The ref/umpires look stunned, all gathered during drinks looking at each other.

Depending on the next hour, this could be a 4 hour, two session Test innings.

Tea Break

Australia 260 & 46/2 (16.0 ov)
India 105

Australia lead by 201 runs with 8 wickets remaining

Quote:
2.10 pm Australia now lead by 201 runs, and that is a mammoth advantage on a pitch that has yielded nine wickets in 31 overs this afternoon. India are up a creek without paddles, or even a boat at this point, after suffering a collapse of seven wickets for 11 runs to be bowled out for 105. Left-arm spinner Steve O'keefe picked up six wickets in 24 balls.

So for now, India will look to the bowlers bail them out of trouble. R Ashwin has grabbed two wickets already, but Steven Smith is still in the middle, and he's doing quite well. Join us in 15 minutes for the final session of the day

Sameer: "The reason these kind of pitches should not be prepared is it gives too much of importance to the toss, even 50 seems defendable in the 4th innings here"

Shayan: "Take nothing away from O'keefe. You want see an indian quickie going to Australia and picking up 6 wickets for 10 odd runs on a seaming wicket. "

Watching this now. May go back to NZ when they bat after the break.

Tough when there are two good matching on. ;)

NOT complaining.

This is not as exciting as other match. We know how it is going to end, right?
Just waiting for Smith to make a century. He seems to be playing exactly like 1st innings. Safe and letting the ball come to him.
Listening to two Indians talking to each other and every once in a while, Clarke will weigh in.

You aren't missing anything live, imo. :)
