I don't blame you, it's the most exciting right now. You mentioned "par score" over there in the other thread. Watching this match and they have "par score 175" on the screen. What does this mean? |

It means they estimate that is an OK score on this pitch.. not a great score. I have not watched a lot of T20... 8 or 9 per over seems common... 10 per over giving 200 total I would rate as likely a GOOD score Eden park is a GOOD wicket for batters... small field for cricket (designed for rugby) ... so boundaries require shorter hit.. sixes are easier to achieve.. and T20 is about lots of boundaries |

Smithy commentating just lamented "no Ross Taylor"...... That is GREAT news!!  And Doollie says "I dont get it"(not playing Taylor)... Fuck.... I do... Taylor is USELESS IF ONLY they would DROP Richardson from commentary team

Afridi OUT... but note SR = 287.5 Afridi 23 (8b 2x4 2x6) SR: 287.50 That is GREAT batting in T20. Players are NOT supposed to occupy the crease they are there to score runs.. in a hurry!! |

The "WHY" is no doubt rotating players.. trying different players.. with T20I World Cup squad selection in mind. Shame really.. Taylor should be dropped "on merit" IMO
