Bailey is an example (today) of what drives me NUTS in cricket.

Took 16 balls before scoring a run. Then was OUT next ball

The notion of playing cautiously to get used to pitch etc.

The way NZ (at their worst) played Often in the past. Drove me to support Australia.

Rigor Richardson opening innings in Test cricket was an example.

Sounds Ok, and is if it works, but more often than not it results in player using up deliveries for no score and THEN going out with no advantage of "getting their eye in"
