Wouldn't it be cool if the finals were NZ vs. Oz?

Kinda Mal, but.......

I became a Ocker for cricket (mostly) some years ago. Always follow the "Ashes" clashes between Australia and England. Usually watch Austlia Test Matches even if NZ are playing a different game on same day. Of course normally support NZ when they are playing.. I will be torn...I do like the NZ (mostly) now... would be more so if they DROPPED Taylor (and maybe Vitori) :cool

Weather report from Auckland....

It pissed down with rain last night, and as dawn breaks it is now light drizzle :doh

Auckland is famous for "4 Seasons in one day" and Eden Park has EXCELLENT drainage, and ground staff well versed in preparing the ground after rain... we'll see.

Don't hold your breath! :roll

At the start of the tournament I wanted Australia to win.. MY TEAM that I have followed for some time, but....

I have warmed to NZ.. their style and attitude.. a lot of it due to batting (and captaincy) of Brendon McCullum.

So.. I do have mixed emotions about the result

Thank you Rumpole, for introducing me to the sport of Cricket. :)

I learned during the end of the test matches and think I saw most of the ODI World Cup matches. I wanted NZ to win it all, but always wanted Aus to win when they played the other teams.

So this is a bittersweet final game for me. I enjoyed it ALL ... so fun to watch.

Nice to have your company watching the cricket Molly :86

You do realize that an American who understands cricket is VERY rare....

As we say in the Antipodes.....

"As rare as rocking-horse shit" :slap
